My Boys & Girls Club has provided me a safe haven that defies social norms… I have been able to understand the plethora of perspectives in my community, in youth, and as a country. – Lazarya
Lazarya enjoys mentoring younger Club members. She sets a positive example by volunteering for various local organizations and leading efforts to raise funds for Club programs.
After high school, Lazarya plans to study speech communication and rhetoric at the University of Washington. She hopes to become a teacher and motivational speaker.
