Mission Statement

The Association’s mission is to deepen the impact and mission of Boys & Girls Clubs in communities across Washington through communication, resource development, and collaboration.

Mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America

The mission of our Clubs is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, caring citizens.

What is the Washington State Association?

The Association is a collaboration of 20 independent member organizations located in Washington.  Each of these 20 Club organizations has their own board of directors, operating budget, and staffing to provide the programs of Boys & Girls Clubs of America in their respective communities.  The Association provides a unified voice for all Clubs in Washington, as well as brand consistency and a fellowship-partnership among the members. Altogether we serve 59,732 Club members in 171 Club sites, as well as 49,904 youth through sports and outreach programs.

What is the purpose of the Association?

The Association was formed in 2006 to accomplish the following goals:

1. Increase financial support for Washington Clubs.
2. Organize statewide programs and grants.
3. Increase the awareness of the work of Washington Clubs.
4. Provide government relations and grassroots advocacy on issues affecting Washington Clubs.

Our Core Beliefs

The Boys & Girls Club provides a safe place to learn and grow ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, life enhancing programs, character development experiences, hope, and opportunity.
